  • Financial and Maintenance Benefits

Artificial grass offers appealing financial advantages. While initial setup costs might exceed those of natural grass, the long-term financial benefits are notable. It requires little upkeep – no need for regular watering, mowing, or fertilizing – cutting down on routine expenses. This is especially advantageous for public areas and business properties where budget efficiency is crucial. Its robustness against tough weather and frequent use makes it a sensible, cost-effective choice for South African environments.

    Visual Appeal and Utility

Beyond practicality, artificial grass boasts an aesthetic charm. It maintains a vibrant, evergreen appearance that enhances any outdoor space, be it residential gardens, public parks, or business premises. Versatile in use, it’s suitable for everything from sports fields to leisure spaces, providing a consistent and safe playing ground. This flexibility makes it an excellent option for various environments, keeping its lush green look throughout the year, unaffected by seasonal shifts that impact natural grass.

  • When Shopping Around, Keep These Things in Mind

Think about the whole cost of installation and the grass quality when comparing charges for artificial grass. It’s tempting to go with the least expensive option, but cheap grass could not hold up as well or look as nice as the fancy stuff. Choose a warranty-backed, realistic-looking grass that is also resistant to ultraviolet light. Think about how much it will cost to install everything, including any necessary prep work like putting in new grass or leveling the ground.

    Discovering Unbeatable Offers

You should look at and compare prices from several companies to get the greatest offers on synthetic grass. Find vendors that provide a variety of grass selections at reasonable pricing. Another way to save money is to buy in bulk or wait for sales. Some suppliers also offer discounts for bulk orders or returning clients. Lastly, when comparing pricing, remember to include the cost of installation. It can greatly affect the final cost.

  • Fake Grass looks awful!

When people begin to consider synthetic grass, they only have one image in mind—those ugly astroturf mats from the 70s.

Advancements in turf have come a long way since then. Now thousands of parks and homeowners across the country are installing synthetic grass because it looks beautiful year-round.

Installing artificial grass is a great option in drought-prone areas where using gallons of water daily is not an option. Modern turf is designed to have a natural look and feel that could fool almost anyone.

Being eco-friendly never looked so good!

  • Artificial Turf is not suitable for pets.

    Dog lovers are very welcome!

The fact is, that artificial turf might be one of the best options for your pet.

Sorry to say, one of the big killers of real grass is your dog.

    The digging.

    The scratching.

    The urination.

We’ve all seen beautiful natural landscapes ruined by the constant toll of a few energetic pets. In a few short months, that pristine dog run can be transformed by potholes, mud, and dry, brown grass—the maintenance is endless!

Pet’s (and their owners) love synthetic turf!

It’s true. Turf has come a long way from the fake mats your grandma had. When installed correctly, they have great drainage, are easy to maintain, and are a breeze to clean.

At IntegriTurf, we work with you to choose the type of turf, infill, and drainage system to fit perfectly with the look and usage you have in mind. Many pet-friendly options will make having an artificial lawn the best option for your pet’s needs.

  • HOW SHOULD I WASH MY TURF?

Please check with the manufacturer of the turf prior to purchasing a turf cleaner. Many manufacturers suggest an eco-friendly turf cleaner which can then be poured into a fertilizer bottle and attached to a garden hose for proper mixing and distribution throughout the space.

Hercules Pet Odor Neutralizer is an excellent choice for ridding your yard of unwanted ammonia smells.

After soaking the turf and ensuring the cleaner has gone down approximately ½-inch to 1-inch below the sub-base, it is recommended to wait up to 10 minutes and then rinse the entire area down with freshwater only. No cleaner. This is to remove all the soap from the turf blades and thoroughly rinse the sub-base.

If the weather is over 70°, it is recommended not to clean or hose the area down for up to (4) days after cleaning to ensure the sub-base has dried entirely.

  • Polypropylene is the least expensive material.

    Polypropylene
Polypropylene is the least expensive material. It has a finer texture, so it is the most realistic looking artificial grass. However, it is also the least durable, least resilient, and least heat-resistant. Under prolonged heat, the blades can become deformed.

Nonetheless, this material is popular for home putting greens because it has a softer roll. And because it is lightweight and flexible as well as affordable, it is also popular with people who want to use artificial turf grass for creative indoor or outdoor projects.

    Polyethylene
This material produces the most life-like grass. Not surprisingly, it is a popular choice for home owners who want to replace their natural grass lawn with a synthetic turf product without sacrificing aesthetics. Polyethylene is vibrantly green, soft to the touch, yet very resilient. It is especially durable when combined with nylon as a secondary thatch. That makes it a good choice for athletic fields, too.

Artificial grass made from polyethylene is simple to maintain, as it requires only the occasional raking or brushing. This keeps the surface free of debris and “fluffs” the blades, ensuring the blades and infill retain their cushion and bounce.

  • Homeowner value

A home is more than a place to store your stuff and sleep. It’s the center of your life, indoors and outdoors. Artificial grass relieves you of traditional lawn maintenance chores and the associated time and expense. It requires just a little bit of effort, now and then. You’re free to spend all the time you save doing more at-home living, in more enjoyable ways. It’s hard to put a value on that because, truthfully, your time is priceless.

As a side benefit, because your grass always looks its best, you’ll want everyone to see and enjoy it with you. With artificial grass, you can throw parties and informal get-togethers without wasting a bunch of time sprucing up your yard before you can set up, decorate, and fire up the grill. Here in the Bay Area, we all understand the value of more outdoor living.

  • You can opt for weather-resistant benches made from materials

One way to enhance the experience of your backyard putting green even during nighttime hours is by installing appropriate lighting. By doing so, you can ensure that you can practice your short game at any given time, regardless of the natural light availability. Solar lights are a popular choice as they harness energy from the sun and provide soft, ambient illumination. These lights are easy to install and require minimal maintenance. They come in different designs, such as stake lights or path lights, which can be placed strategically around the perimeter of the green. For a more decorative approach, string lights could be an appealing choice.

    12. Putting Green with Seating

Adding seating to your backyard putting green not only provides a place for relaxation but also encourages social interaction. You can opt for weather-resistant benches made from materials such as teak or aluminum that can withstand outdoor conditions. These benches can be strategically placed around the perimeter of the green, allowing spectators to comfortably watch as others play. If you prefer a more casual vibe, consider incorporating comfortable chairs near the putting green. Choose chairs with cushions that are designed for outdoor use so they won’t be affected by moisture or sunlight. This will create a cozy atmosphere where players and observers alike can comfortably spend time together.

  • Stop It with Artificial Grass for Dogs in San Jose

Your dogs spend time in your yard for one of two reasons: to have fun or use it as their bathroom. Both can ruin turf, but the latter is worse because it can turn the place into a smelly, unsightly health hazard. But don’t lose hope of having a gorgeous lawn yet. You can have it and ensure dog waste can’t kill it by installing artificial grass for dogs in San Jose.

Why Dog Poop Kills Natural Grass

Feces has a lot of nitrogen, especially if the dog that pooped it out has a high protein diet. The process of breaking down protein creates nitrogen, which the dog releases in its poop and urine.

Too much nitrogen can burn natural grass. And the longer dog droppings sit on the ground, the more nitrogen they’ll release into the turf and soil.
