This isn’t the first school in Rutland to have transformed an under used, outside area into something more useful and entertaining. In 2016 Langham Primary School and in 2013 Cottesmore’s St Nicolas Primary and Nursery School commissioned LazyLawn to install a similar roadway as did Whissendine Primary School the following year.

In fact an increasing number of schools and educational establishments up and down the country are opting to swap traditional surfaces for LazyLawn® because of the varied and innovative applications as well as its soft texture and longevity.

Other similar installations have even included applying LazyLawn® to the walls of a classroom in order to provide a sensory experience for Special Educational Needs pupils.

The Brooke Hill Academy project was funded by a sponsored jig, where a local dance teacher attended the school and parents, children and staff participated.

Richard Westley, Head of School at Brooke Hill Academy, said: “We were so impressed by the quality of LazyLawn® that we decided to get our own.
