How to remove chewing gum from your artificial grass

If you’ve got chewing gum stuck in your artificial lawn the best way to remove it, is to:

1. Place an ice cube on top of the chewing gum.
2. Leave on for 10 minutes.
3. Once the ice cube has made the gum brittle and hard, you can pick it off.
4. If there is any remaining gum, take a butter knife and carefully and gently scrape any remaining bits off.

What not to do when cleaning your artificial grass

After investing in artificial turf, you want the grass to be looking its best for as long as possible. There are a few things to completely avoid if you are looking to keep your artificial grass looking its best.

• Do not use sharp objects that can tear or rip the artificial grass, for example, metal or wire bristles.
• Do not use harsh chemicals that can damage the blades of grass or cause the grass to lift away by melting the adhesive joining your grass.
• Do not apply heat to your grass.
• Do not hoover your artificial grass as this can hoover up the infill sand. It may also damage your hoover, especially if any moisture is trapped in the artificial grass.
• Do not apply weed killer to your grass fibres.
