1. What’s the size of a padel court?
Answer: A padel court is 20m long by 10m wide.
End/corner walls are 4 meters and side walls 3 meters.
A padel court requires at least 11×21 meters, plus an extra 0.5 meters on each side.
2. What’s the difference between tennis and padel courts?
Answer: Padel courts are designed for four players and are roughly 25% smaller than the size of a tennis court.
3. What are the options for glass panels and how should I choose?
Answer: Currently, the following three solutions are in line with the regulations issued by FIP:
1. 10mm tempered glass: the cheapest solution. However, it is easily subject to breakage and fragmentation and therefore the least safe solution. It is used exclusively for standard or classic courts.
2. 12mm tempered glass: it is slightly more expensive, but provides more safety for the club and players and can be used with both standard, panoramic, and super-panoramic glass.
3. 6+6mm laminated (or laminated) glass: the only variation currently existing to tempered, consisting of 2 pieces of 6mm glass joined by a thin adhesive film. Used on all types of courts.
Even if the inner glass breaks in the court, the outer glass should support its weight and fall. It is also the most expensive solution.
